Thank you kindly. I've seen snow once in my life about 40yrs ago 🤣 It does snow here, you just need to go looking for it.
This ought to give you your fill for the rest of your life....

G'day everyone from (not so) sunny Queensland, Australia. Big thank you for letting me join your online community. My wife and I have a 1 acre block and currently have 3 laying hens (ex-cage Hyline commercial layers) and recently acquired 6 pullets. 2 Welsummer, 2 Polish, Blue laced Barnevelder and a Barnevelder/Wyandotte cross. I am also into growing organic vegetables to feed us and the chooks. Look forward to learning from the more experienced chicken owners. Cheers.
Thought while I was here I should add some photos of our girls. These are the pullets we got 3 weeks ago.

Isn’t the internet amazing for bringing people with like interests from all over the world together! So greeting my new friend from the cornfields or SE Iowa, USA! We were given such a warm welcome, I figured it’s the least I can do to greet newcomers! sorry to hear about your storms. Like someone said earlier, we are in our winter here, although there isn’t any snow, and it rained both Christmas Eve and Day. So incredibly dry here, I’ll take any moisture we can get. Once again, welcome!

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Yes it is indeed. I do find the forums a little better then social media for specific topics as the "trolls" don't seem to bother joining forums.

We've just come out of a very dry winter and spring so I can totally empathise with what you're feeling. Fingers crossed for you that you get some rain or snow, hopefully not all at once though.
