Getting all the goodies from ebay this week, my ipad charger came today, so egg photos tomorrow. I also ordered a high powered flashlight/torch (apparently 800lm), which is actually arriving before my new candler, so i should be able to light those eggs up like christmas tomorrow night to look for signs of life!

On top of that the new incubator should be available for pickup in 1-3 days, then no more manual turning for me. Ive also been collecting more eggs from my girls so i may also have hatching babies on halloween if i set these eggs on the 10th, so very eggcited!

All eggs this month count right? I have 5 under a Broody Serama, due in about 2 weeks (I think), 1 silkie egg rescued from a quitter broody that should hatch today or tomorrow, and 4 show girl eggs due Friday I believe. So 10 total.

I have a new broody hen! Frizzled bantam cochin. I think I’ll give her a few eggs this week and leave the incubators unplugged. Still haven’t decided for sure.

We have been scrambling because of Hurricane Michael. I have been tying stuff down and securing roofs throughout our farm. I will respond to all of the PM's shortly. Thank you for your generosity and patience.

The pig farmer now has 750 chickens as well.

ZOWWIE! 750? We are over 350 and it is extremely hard to manage. I thought 350 was an ocean of birds! I can't conceive that amount. We have reduced by 40 or so in the last month though. Selling of the older birds whom don't produce. That grain makes a huge difference.
Also, I entered you eggs in the registry. I hope you have an excellent H.R.!

I guess I set mine 10 days too early. but they will be 10 days old on Halloween!
