FOR YOUR DONATIONS
We need prize donations for our other contests! It is your generosity that allows us to run these.

No item is too small. We can always have smaller items for 2nd/3rd place.
Hatching egg donations, fowl items new/used in good shape, BYC PFMs, Amazon gift certificates, BYC gift certificates, etc. are all great items to donate. What some of us do is purchase an item from Amazon and send it directly to the winner: just make sure they have plenty of the item in stock.

I'm happy to become a lurker. I only have one hen still laying. I don't think I'll set again till December.
The others are beginning to molt or in recovery. I finished a hatch of 9 on Saturday and have 6 eggs due sporadically through this month.
I'm starting to run out of housing space. I need to get another building redone by the time I set eggs again. And sell and eat some birds.
Lurkers are encouraged! :highfive: You don't have to hatch to be able to decorate an Egg!

Hi Everyone! :frow
It's been a crazy last 24 hours here at the farm but I'm finally adding the details.
I just added the set dates to the the opening box.
https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/halloween-hatch-a-long-2018.1274914/
:hugsThank you to all whom helped me work out the set dates. Chickens were my only knowledge at the time.
Slowly but surely today, I will be adding 411 to that box. instead of spreading the details in a bunch of new posts, so new comers don't need to read tons of spread out posts to get the whole picture.
Hopefully the FIRST Contest will be posted this eve. Prize availability will govern the announcement of said Contest(s).

:oldTo all whom are unable to set eggs-
YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO! Stick around for the fun. Get ready to make new friends. Get ready to learn from BYCer's "TIP & TRICKS & of course, what to do & not to do, the next time you set your eggs.

:oldTo all whom ARE SETTING EGGS, please state in your post-
  1. How Many
  2. What Kind
  3. Set Date
  4. Type of Incubator (Optional)
  5. "Broody Hen"
All of that Data will be compiled on a Master List. And may be incorporated in a possible contest.
Also, HAL's have a ton of knowledgeable & experienced people to assist your almost every need. ASK QUESTIONS! Your questions will help educate others!

HATCH-A-LONGS are "Photo Friendly" Threads! EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY! Don't be afraid to "Show & Tell". Especially candling photography!

:frowAlright, gotta go! I've got to multi-task right now.
Thank you to all whom volunteered a helping hand!
Remember to keep checking the Start of the thread for additions.
