My 1-1/2 year old ISA Red hen I thought was just going through a very hard molt. Past couple of weeks she hasn't been herself. The other day she wouldn't come out of the coop and stayed on her roost away from the other girls. Hasn't been eating much. I isolated her so that the others wouldn't pick on her. Her comb is shriveled to nothing. She is eating nothing and having a hard time getting her to drink. Stools have been very liquid. I was thinking she had coccidia so we started her on Corid. I have been trying to give her scrambled egg and she hasn't been very interested. She looks like she is on death's door. Heavy breathing. I sent her fecal out to get tested and it was negative for Coccidioides immitis. Is this the correct one to test for? We have no local chicken vet so I am pretty much on my own with figuring this out. She is a sweet girl and I want to help her. I am just at a loss as to how to help. Any advice would be most appreciated.
