Here’s a couple pics of my duck family :)

I thought I’d share some cute pics of my nearly 4 week old ducklings and their parents.

Please forgive me if I’ve posted this in the wrong place, I tried looking in the duck forum but didn’t really think it was appropriate to just start posting duck pictures amongst people asking questions about serious things

Anyway, here are my call ducks, mother and ducklings will be moving out next week (hopefully) but their father has to be separated until he can come to terms with the fact he has kids bless him, he’s my boy.

The two yellows are Vin (Diesel) and Forrest (Gump) - I’m guessing one is a boy and one a girl by their cheeps. The smaller duckling with a black stripe down her neck is Lara (Croft), the black and yellow duckling with a black beak is Brahms (again, I’m guessing Lara and Brahms are girls) and finally we have my baby Riddick with a yellow neck and speckled fur/feathers who I’m guessing is a boy but I won’t know till they are older. It’s fun to guess though!

Actually because mine are muscovy - the chocolates can be sexed by color if certain colors cross. I don't know all the specifics, but the BYC member I got them from is very informed. She also vent sexed for me and it looks like she is spot on from what I am seeing from the 4 of them. I got 3 girls and 1 boy. They are posted in the duck forum - My New Muscovy Ducks.

Ah I see! That’s fascinating actually, how we can tell with certain breeds and not others! I have checked out your thread and they are all adorable you have a good ratio aswell. I’m hoping I have a good boy to girl ratio too.
