how to care for a wild duckling

I am not sure what they eat but I’d def give it s try maybe a warm soupy mix to start with drinking water along side.

Says they mainly eat insects. So you may have to go to your local store that sell fish bait and buy crickets or live meal worms. I’d also go on the ornamental forum and talk to those who keep wild breeds.

Hi, although i only have chickens, just wanted to say, how cute the little one is.
It would be lovely, if you was allowed to raise it, where you live with your laws.

i beleive it wouldnt work crossing it over border for health concern and possible decease concerns and such. i will do my best to care for it and hope to save it. i will follow the guide lines from

He will probably like it more because it has fish meal in it and they are sea ducks. I use it on my ducklings/sea ducklings.

I would not feed it chick starter, or layer mash. It’s not going to have enough niacin in it. I recommend ordering a duckling feed like the one Phantom mentioned which would be perfect for it. Or if you can’t find duck specific feed, purchase some flock raiser crumbles. They have that stuff everywhere!
