Bingo! I keep telling Cynthia that she looks like a snowy owl, especially from the front. The grandkids just think she is the neatest chicken.

I added the pic of her mama, Riley, in the post above with her pictures so you can see that she really does resemble her mama, who is the sweetest hen. I think she really does look like an owl!

Hi, all! This baby hatched today, same parents as the subject of this thread. I'm thinking female, even with that big-looking comb. The color is brownish with blue tinge, legs don't seem thick at all, etc. I had its brother, who was black barred with a pea/single combo comb. Someone in this thread said the females would come out brown due to the Delawares dk brown gene and males barred.

OH, Cyn! I do hope it is a girl, and I can hardly wait to see how she turns out! Ellie's girl is so beautiful. I am sure this one will be, too!

Lilly reminds me of a mix I once had (minus the muffs)... it was a Delaware X LB Leghorn. Almost identical coloring.
