Hello and welcome to BYC! So happy you joined us. I finally caved and ended up getting 3 Silkies (from what I can tell so far, I have 2 Cockerals and 1 Pullet) and have thoroughly enjoyed them. My youngest Silkie Cockerel, "Zane", will be 9 weeks old tomorrow & I witnessed 3 crow attempts from him yesterday! I am hoping to get a video today. You've joined an amazing virtual "family" that will enjoy and share your love of chickens! Looking forward to seeing your chicks. Please feel free to post some pictures of your pair

I’m from San Martin, California and in April I took a Silkie that was hatched from a preschool and now I have an obsession. She ended up being a partridge hen and then I went and bought a blue rooster to have some fun! She has laid her very first three eggs as of Saturday so they are now baking in my incubator. She is isn't too broody yet. I am obsessed with what I will end up with in regards to offspring. Love my new obsession. Great to find this site.

I have been obsessed with Silkies ever since I got my first one Six years ago and now I have more than 20! I am working on breeding them. Good Luck on your hatch!
