did either of you read that this is a natural happening mutation in chickens? It was not lab induced.

As the bible says,

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

That therefore says animals are there for us to do as we please, which includes the right to control them, confine them, (protect them) and require them to obey us.

and like danischi24 wrote, there are people over in other countries dying of starvation, with no parents, and your worried about "poor chickens"
which im not condoning bad treatment to animals, i love animals passionatly. But i believe they are ours to do as we please.

sorry if you do not agree.

I think she has a very pretty face. I think it is cool seeing the "undressed" chicken, but I am not personally a fan of any hairless pet, be it dog, cat, rat or whatever. I like fluff to cuddle

Do you know what the original breed was that they mutated from? I see in the "baby" pics there are some hairless and some feathered, just like happens with litters of chinese crested dogs. Very interesting, never even knew these birds existed.

I agree!!!

Thanks guys. The original breed that the mutation appeared in was a New Hampshire so Inbar lays really huge eggs. The naked chickens were bred to feathered broilers which is why some of the chicks in the picture are feathered. Here are two of Inbar's eggs, they are the same size or a little bigger than the regular Leghorn shop bought eggs:

They don't seem to realize that they are naked. Inbar flaps her wings & I'm watching her preen her baby clothes right now.

I haven't read the entire thread, but I find this fascinating!

Has anybody brought up dinosaur bones? Looking at Inbar, its easy to see where T-Rex's tiny little arms really belonged. Made us wonder, what if T-Rex was really just a giant meatbird? But, for who? And was he as sweet as Inbar?

Her eyes really are pretty. I'm tempted to knit her a soft outfit. soft and stretchy for her neck and naked lil' tuckus.
