Do you have her under heat lamp or some kind of heating? they can chill pretty easy when that young. If Embden, gander do you have the parents? or can you get a pic of the parents so I can see? You can look up pics of Embden goslings on line and see females have quite a bit of dark grey on their down where ganders have yellow all over with small amt of grey
Yes they are! That is some awesome news! She looks great!!! Good to hear she is eating and drinking good too. Are they Embden?
Is it ok if he towers over her? She is minuscule compared and he likes to “shower” everytime we give him water which is becoming a bit of a problemThey should do fine together once your little one gets her legs under her real good. I'd say best buds actually. Keep up the pics and we need to see more pics of them both!!
Yeah I did, but he quickly grew out of it. I searched the internet and found one made out of a milk gallon so I did that. Even before he would take the water and splash it everywhere and get himself wet. I’ll try to get a picture. I was using one from Tractor Supply that was red and every week I moved the heat lamp up. At a certain week (two weeks ago?) the heat lamp and room temp was the same so we just didn’t provide the lamp and he’s fine. Not shivering or anything and he’s almost fully featheredAs long as he isn’t trampling on her and they enjoy each other just keep it supervised. As for getting her and him wet didn’t you make the home made waterer? Also what heat are you using to keep them warm don’t want a heat lamp getting covered in water.
