Incubating Geese Eggs

Sounds great!! It probably rolled into proper position. I’d just leave it that way, and be ready to crank up the humidity if you see a pip.

With that type of incubator, I connected some bendable straws and pushed them thru the vent holes and squirted the water thru the straw to the proper location. Are you planning to fill all the channels? You can also use wet sponges if you need more humidity. Just try not to get any water on any eggs. Lifting one side of the lid quickly enough to put in some sponge pieces won’t release the humidity too quickly, if necessary.
Ok yeah I left it that way. No pip yet but moves when I shine light through the top. I actually lined the bottom with paper towel and then I put water onto the towel through the vent holes. The humidity is at 60ish% right now. I’m so excited:D. I’ll post a picture of the air cell. I’ll put sponges in as well because I’m going to try to get the humidity up to 70%. When I incubated duck eggs one got shrink wrapped and I had to help it, the humidity was 60%. I’ll go post a pic right now.

From what you're describing it sounds like the egg has drawn down, meaning it's getting ready to internally pip and start to hatch. So, time to stop turning and increase the humidity :) Try to get the humidity up to about 65% or so, but as WV said, avoid getting any water right on the shell, since that actually increases moisture loss from the egg (that's why we mist the eggs during incubation). Also avoid having any damp materials like a paper towel or sponge right against the egg since that can chill the gosling inside.
Yay! I stopped turning yesterday night. But I think some of my water on the paper towels is against the egg, I’ll move it right now:hitThe humidity is at 60% but I also opened it before. I’m going to put some sponges in there. Wish me luck!

Here are the pictures to show the air cell, which seems to be getting bigger by the hour! Just as I took this picture I noticed the shadow at the back and I think he’s starting to internally pip. If you can see how much clear space is left, is that ok? I’m at the end of day 26 right now. Sorry, my good light doesn’t work anymore so I had to use a phone camera. The last line drawn was on the 22nd or 23rd I believe @WVduckchick @Pyxis

I also wanted to ask if I could add this nutritional yeast to his/her food or water for niacin?

Here is today, day 27. The beak was definitely in the air cell but receded back. He either pipped or will in a few hours. The air cell takes up a lot of the egg. @WVduckchick @ChickNanny13

I just candles them before going to bed and the air cell line is wavy and the chick has internally pipped, but there are strange red spots all over! Are they veins that are drying up? I’m concerned but the chick still moves when shining a light on it

The wavy line is because the membrane was pierced, and it partially collapses onto the chick. It’s fine and normal. Not sure about red spots. Possibly broke a blood vessel when the membrane broke, but probably not an issue.

So next you should see an external pip within about 24 hours (likely less) and then up to another 40 hours before zipping might start. Could all be much quicker than that, hopefully the wait won’t be that long.
