More pictures, I put him in a sock. I think he moved in the egg and was like that for some time so his neck changed. He’s not taking any sugar water. I read up and other forums said that they either fix themselves or they have it forever.

When did he finish absorbing the yolk they don’t usually eat or drink for 24 hrs. What is the sock suppose to do? Can it pick it’s head up?

I too am wondering what the purpose for the sock is. He also just hatched, and sometimes it can take them awhile to find their feet.

You might be right. His spine seems crooked and everytime he walks one leg drags behind he other and he ends up on his back. Last night there was still a bit of yolk left and this morning we took him out. I thought he might be spraddle legged so I put him in a sock. I’m keeping his head and spine straight and he’s w me.

I don’t. Do I need it? Do you think she will be ok. I actually think it’s a girl. She looks like the hunchback of notre dame, like she is hunched over.

Let’s hope tomorrow she’ll be better. Yes Poultry Nutri drench is great for hatchlings. TSC has it. Can she hold her head up at all.

I’ll post a pic right now. She can hold her head up, she is just unable to walk.

Have you ever looked up how to hobble if they have splay legs? You can look it up on you tube or poultry pedia. But give her a few days to get over hatching. Unless you know for sure she is splayed also make sure not to put her on slick surfaces.
