Injured Hen Won't Eat

I got on quick to tell great news!! Somebody got on their tractor and plowed my road from here to the other place. I was able to take care of her, she is doing amazing! She did eat on her own, but she really stuffed her crop with dry food instead of the wet stuff I made her. I definitely have to watch that, her crop was pretty hard. She was very thirsty. I gave her nutri drench water and mixed her an extra watery egg mash to keep her interested in liquids.

Just to keep myself prepared, if her crop is impacted, what can I use to help that? I've heard olive oil.. is that correct?

Okay! I'll make sure to keep giving her water water water. Would it work if I put a syringe down her so she got more, faster? Would I do it a bit forceful to flush it or nono? I looked everywhere and the only tube I have is way too big, it's a fish tank cleaner hose... my town is too small, I looked at the store and they have no tubes whatsoever. I have more than enough syringes though.

Syringing is dangerous. Do you have a Walmart, Petsmart, or Petco? They sell aquarium air line.
 
Good News! Glad to hear she is doing better. Keep an eye on her crop. As @casportpony said above, give her plenty of water. I don't know anything about impacted crops or tube feeding, so don't know how to treat it. Anyways good luck and hope she stays healthy and drinks and eats on her own.
 
Glad she is eating and that you could get to her. So sorry for everything you have been going through. :hugs

I won't disagree that tube feeding is preferred, but back when I didn't know any better, i used syringes multiple times and didn't harm my hens. I just went super slow and made 100 % sure I was down the right hole. Whether you want to try would depend, I think, on how desperately you believe she needs water and how realistic it is for you to get tubing.
 
@casportpony Well, unfortunately no. I'm in a teeny town surrounded in tiny towns surrounded In small towns. The closest walmart is 1 hour and closest petsmart is 3 hours. I hopefully will be going sometime this week, I have to carpool to go into cities.

Today she was eating on her own when I walked in, when I brought her out and set a bowl of water in front of her, she started drinking on her own. I didn't even need to guide her, she knew it was there. I let her go nuts for about 40 minutes. I felt her crop before and after, before it was still kinda hard, but not big. After she drank it was all squishy and soft.
Her face finally shed some scabs so you can actually see her right eyelid. She still refused to open it. She also pooped! Pics below.

You can't see it real well, but around her ear is still pretty scabby. Otherwise the swelling is 90% gone on her whole face.

Here is the poop she did while I had her out drinking. Her energy is definitely coming back.
