Have you room for another one on here?
I will be setting 3 Marans, 3 cream legbar, and 2 Welsummer Xs under a broody tomorrow, so should hatch 15 July. It'll be my first time with shipped eggs (for the Marans and the legbar; the Wellies are home grown). :fl

Welcome!
I just set my first ever batch of shipped eggs this morning!

Oh, yeah everyone...in my excitement early this morning I forgot to post that I set those wonky air celled Biele eggs from yesterday along with a few from my flock. The air cells on the shipped Bieles are quite a mess, but not too jiggly thankfully. I've got the worst one propped upright in a little cradle that is riding on top of the horizontal turner and the rest on their sides. And I also set one of my own eggs to counter balance the upright Biele and to act as a test egg for this upright idea.

Nice! That sounds like a good setup!

Apparently the older quail have been laying a few weeks, and I could have participated in the Fourth of July hatch if I’d seen the eggs. Alas, I am only now warming up the incubator. My quail hatch (14 eggs) is due on the eleventh. Two eggs from this week, and the rest fresh enough to pass a float test.
Yes!!! You’re hatching quail with me! I have 50 eggs coming today of Rosetta and SSC
