June 2022 Hatch-a-long

It has a pretty decent size hole made and I can see it breathing. I've heard of it but never seen it happen before.

It should be fine. Just slower to zip as was already mentioned. Was it a shipped egg? They seem to be more confused than others. Although I’ve had 1 or 2 wrong end pips in my own eggs too.

It officially hatched out at 4pm it took it a minute to right itself. Craziest thing I've ever seen

Yes it was! From California to Pennsylvania!

What are the worries for pipping at the wrong end?

I literally just had a little quail do that. It took her almost a full 24 hours to hatch but she seems fine.

I now have 6 quail hatched & 3 chickens. Lots of pips & I believe 1 dis quail for sure. It looks like it pipped into a blood vessel from what I can see

Aww poor thing. I keep wanting to get quail i go back and forth lol
