Lockdown- Silkie Eggs in Genesis 1588

Pics
85% is awfully high for chicken eggs.. Wouldn't go any higher than 70% For my duck eggs, 65% Is a good temp for chicken eggs.

I need to find out for sure so I won't mess up my silkie hatch when I have to put them into lockdown too.

I agree with @MillersFarm 85% is pretty high. 65-75 is usually plenty. I never did anything special for silkie eggs. Just definitely don’t want condensation. A tiny bit is ok, but don’t want any dripping.

Ok, thank you for confirming that! I still have a couple more week's to go until my hatch.

It’s really difficult to put a definite number on it. Phoenix climate could be a challenge! Lol
Unfortunately we kinda have to go with trial and error starting out.
Check out the red link in my signature block below, it gives more details. Best of luck with your hatch!

So, basically then, lockdown will be the same as I do for my Naked Neck's.

My humidity is down to 62% now. I see no pips. Would you add a wet sponge at this point or???

Don't worry about humidity too much, I've been able to successfully hatch at a 40% humidity and less throughout incubation due to my incubator not being able to hold more than that. Anyway, how are they today?

Ok thank you! Nothing new to report. 60% humidity and no pips visible yet. Im off next two days and will just be staring at the bator ;)
