With Ducks you need to be careful on dosages ....Even certain things they cant take as a Chicken can....

What drugs are those?

I am not sure how much he weighs yet, but I have 500mg on hand. So I've just been putting that into halves and giving it to him in the morning and night. Since all he will eat right now is dried mealworms, cantaloupe and watermelon I sprinkle it over the mealworms and then Whatever is left in my hand I try to wipe up with the fruit and give to him.

You need to know how much he weighs, or you need to stop giving the drug. Giving too little is just as bad as giving too much. It also needs to be given twice a day.

If he is a big 11 pound drake he should get 500 mg twice a day. Pretty sure the dose is ~50 mg per pound twice a day for 7-14 days. Do you have enough to last that long? If not, I suggest you buy some. It's sold over the counter for fish in 250 mg and 500 mg capsules, so just google "cephalexin for fish".

I will deff look into the medicine from the fish I believe I will be needing some.
As for the swelling is there anything I can do to help? I just feel like we've tried everything and I want to help him as much as I can.. just not sure if what we are doing is helping him.

Cold water to stand in two or three times a day with Epsom salts..Do not allow it to drink the water...

We've been doing a little cooler than lukewarm so we will try cold tonight. Thank you! Yes, we did read about the epsom poops so we try to keep another bowl of water next to him for when he gets thirsty.

Hmmm no we have just been using regular water.. should I go buy some distilled water or is it ok that we boil it first?

Any Tap water is fine....no need to get to crazy over things...Animals heal fast...
