Flock Update - Egg Stats:
Hazel started to lay 2 weeks and 5 days ago and she has produced 18 eggs so far. She has only missed 2 days where I had the soft shell issue and the one where it was just whites but ever since then she has been laying on a daily basis. Her eggs are also perfect. No need for washing or anything. They are clean as.

Also, im confident we dont have any egg eaters as I have been collecting her egg in the afternoons so it would have been there all day as I know she lays between 7am and 11pm. And yes I stalk her on my days off lol.

Gardening/planting Update:
From my garden! Absolutely beautiful!

Chicken math got me (but don’t forget... it also includes subtraction!)
I started with 12 EE bantam in May of 2015
I began incubating and letting those EE bantams hatch their own.
I got a trio of Black Tailed Buff Japanese Bantams and a trio of Black Tailed White Japanese Bantams.

By 2017 I’m confident I had almost 100 chickens

Early 2018 I had gotten my numbers down to around 60 chooks.

Later (this year) I decided I wanted a smaller flock so I added a few of my desired breeds and downsized down to 12... until I hatched 4 chicks... so 16 chooks

Soon to happen all over again! :lau
