How’s the weather in Australia? For me and Rjohns39, it’s rainy and cool.
The weather here is hot and hot. No rain but lots of sunburn.

Hmmm, The aussies I hung with in Saudi, didn't seem to drink any more than me?
But the brits were the weeklings![]()
Haha! I’ll be happy to switch! The weather here is hot and hot. No rain but lots of sunburn.
I’ve never drunken alcohol (considering I’m underage), but my family can gulp down a 12 pack as fast as anything I’ve ever seen!Us Aussies drink a lot. You have probably seen.

I wish we could! Please that would be amazing.
My flock hates me at the moment... They didn’t get to free range today because of all the rain. And if you go to my Flock thread... I JUST GOT 6 MORE CHOOKS!Hows yours and @rjohns39 flock today?
Interesting, my friend's golden retriever (who is the sweetest thing and very well trained) "plays" with them- aka chasing them around and in doing so, running me over- no wonder they don't free range often. Good luck with teaching him! (also, how do you start?)Well my flock is ok today, they did get to free range, but few took the opportunity. I think, they think, the cold wet stuff coming out of the sky is my fault.
Meanwhile, big change here... One of DW's friends on FB is moving to a small apartment and had to re-home all her chickens and her LGD. So we now have a Pyrenees mix that's two years old. Once I teach him where to guard and where not to go, I should substantially reduce my losses. But first, I have to teach him that the pigs are ok, they won't hurt the chickens. He went crazy when he saw chickens in with the pigs. And when one of the chickens complained in the upper pasture, it was all I could do to keep him with us. I'm in uncharted territory here, but have a friend who will guide me.
Apparently, he will herd chickens back into safe areas, if they wander too far.
I'm now in serious learning mode. Wasn't ready for a new dog and still having trouble with the concept of a full time outside dog. The last owners let him in, in the mornings to sleep eat and drink.
