Update on Hazel:
Hazel is my favorite ofcourse. She is just the sweetest bird. She cuddles and loves spending time with us. Shes just so amazing.

Black Australorp Roo:
JD my Black Australorp Roo has a bad attitude already! He pecks and doesn't want you in the coop. I have threatened him he will go to freezer camp but doesn't seem to worry him at all.

I grab him and don't show him any concerns of him.
Any advice?

Gardening/Plants:
At the moment we have started growing Chillies and Tomatoes.

Watermelons got planted over the weekend. Strawberries and an Avocado tree will be added soon and ill update when that happens.

I hope so. If his the only Cockerel I hope to keep him. He is beautiful just don't want him scaring my nieces.

There are lots of techniques to taming a cockerel, but what seems to be most successful is just handling him a lot. Get him used to human interaction and an understanding that humans of all sizes are at the top of the pecking order.

Ok ill make sure the kids handle him when they are over and make sure they aren't scared of him.

I don't think the Light Sussex is a Cockerel anymore.

Update on my babies:
They were all up this morning getting along amazingly. Hazel has now taken charge and keeps the others in line. That will change but hopefully she will teach them where they can free range safely and to come home to roost at night.
