My Flock Journey 2.0

Btw, I had no more broken eggs today But for some reason they are rolling them around inside the whole coop/hen house! I’ll find them just in random places in the middle of the coop I think I’m gonna get tubs for the nest boxes. I had dividers to separate three nests but they were trying to get on top of one another in just one nest but since I removed the dividers they are using the other ones now but are rolling the eggs around...

Another Update from the Gardening/Planting Category:
6 Tomato plants from my window ledge have entered their new habitat!

And yes I got super dirty and got wet with the hose a lot but it was all worth it in the end plus we had a cold beer.





11 Tomato Plants left I think someone at my father inlaws work is taken those.

Ohhh thats weird but I guess chickens are really smart and really inquisitive they will play with stuff.

And just another update from the Gardening/Planting:
We have more Chillies as we think the first lot were Tomatoes! As we used our compost for the planting. This time fresh store bought potting mix. So watch this space

Also, Butternut Pumpkin (unsure if they will germinate as the seeds were gifted).

And Watermelons have been repotted for extra room and the extra Tomatoes and Watermelons have a new home to go to! (Nothing wasted)

Hi everyone,

I have documented My Flock Journey from the very beginning.

But people stopped getting notifications from my original flock journey so I have created a new Flock Journey 2.0. I will be sharing my flock updates and updates of my life on acreage and trying to live self sufficient.

During my original journey I have lost 7 pullets and 4 chicks long stories if you would like to read my original flock journey please see link attached above.

My current flock is:
Age - 3 months 8 days
1 Hybrid Australorp Pullet - Hazel

Age - 1 month 18 days
1 Black Australorp Cockerel- JD
1 Black Australorp Pullet - Licorice
1 Light Sussex (sex unsure) - Chippy
2 Rhode Island Red Pullets - Almond and Coco
1 Rhode Island Red (think its a Cockerel) - Gin
