Gardening/Planting Update:
Purple Sunflowers have been planted today. But we will wait and see if they are purple if they start to grow.


Butternut Pumpkins have been transferred to bigger pots.


Chillies should be sprouting in 2 days time. I will keep you all updated on that.

New Chicks:
I have decided when I make the decision to re-home 2 out if my 3 roosters. I will get my next lot of day old or 2 week old chicks depending on the breed I decided to go with and what's available.

Or should I wait until the roo starts to do his thing?

Or I could get another coop?

What shall I do!

Crowing!!!!
Chippy has started to try and crow already! His only 2 months old but he has always been my bigger Cockerel. I was in shock and couldn't stop laughing thinking about how much my neighbors aren't going to like me much lol.

It was really cute. And you could tell he was happy that a sound came out.

Krystal, here's some choices for crawfish boil seasoning @WhoDatChick which do you go for Louisiana or Zatarains? I've used them all and still can't figure out which I like best. Now you've got me wanting mud bugs...

I recommend waiting until both are a year old. You can still get your chicks, just have a separate pen / rooster coop,
So over mating won’t become an issue.

I will keep them as long as I can but if they start getting aggressive with me or the kids. They will have to go unfortunately.
