Wildlife Update:
It has just hit peek season for snakes here in Australia. I haven't had 1 yet but my mother in law has had a 2 meter python under her veranda. Not near her Chickens thank god. And he was really cold and had no energy to attack her cats so that was good. She has a photo so if I see her ill get it and post it for you all.
I live in the north were we don't have to worry about those big snakes (thank goodness):yesss:

Pullet Update:
My pullets are 2 months 21 days old today. The other day 1 was checking out the nesting box and this afternoon when I got home another 1 was sitting in the nesting box all puffed out like shes broody. I thought thats random and she was sitting tight wouldn't move. This is pretty strange.
I'm certainly no expert, but 11wks seems a little young to be broody. Has she left the nest box yet to socialize? If not, I would check her for an illness or injury... or she could just be hiding from someone picking on her. Don't let her (or others) make a habit of sleeping in the nest overnight... you don't wan't poopy eggs in the future. Maybe someone else has a better idea what to do, or if it's nothing at all, but I would lift her out and see what she does.

... and I also am not getting very many eggs yet.... I think I’m gonna need more chickens ;)
Of course you need more chickens!:lau

She was out with the others this morning but wasn't sleeping in the box or anything. Ill keep a close eye on the situation.
