People who don't do birds just don't get it. While I was in DC I showed the boss pics of my birds including my turkeys and ducks. I also showed them the kids in the brooder and told them that was 450 pounds of future meat. They have no idea where their food comes from.

Yeah, it really sucks.
 
I just read up on Rhode Island Reds and they usually start to lay at about 18 to 20 weeks. Shes 12 at the moment but I remember Hazel was starting to get redder at this age too. Omg I might have a layer in afew weeks! Yayyyy
