I got an early morning call from my Post Office. My shipped eggs arrived a day early. So they traveled almost completely across the country in 2 days. They were impeccably packed but all the air cells are loose, which isn't surprising. None are rolling so I count that as a blessing. I believe the biggest detriment is traveling in a plane at high altitude and who knows what temperatures. So, they're resting now and the incubator is warming up. I have a fancy humidikit this time around and will be keeping humidity right around 30%.

May I join? I received eggs today and plan to put them in the incubator on Friday. I've never hatched before and decided to do it on a whim so my timing on deliveries is a little off. I know, not the best start

Please do! My eggs arriving early has thrown my timing off too. A local breeder is collecting eggs for me but they aren't ready just yet. Plus my incubator slides eggs across the floor horizontally, so I'll be removing the turner to have my shipped eggs in a carton while I hand turn the others. It's as if I like to make things as complicated as possible.

My batch was set on the 24th of Sept; I have about 9 Ayam Cemani eggs and around the same number of Silverudd's Blues eggs due on Oct 14. Hopefully, less of the AC eggs quit this time. Last time I checked the initial batch (due in 5 days), only 3/5 of the set eggs were still going.

Hello and good luck to everyone. Glad to see there are many of us still hatching! I set 12 shipped eggs on the 19th (on day 7); they are due to hatch Oct 10th. I also have an order in for 6 CCL and 6 BI, but I don't know when they will ship. Depends on how many eggs the breeders are getting and how quickly they can fill the orders placed before mine.

Let's hatch some chicks!
