Exciting times Can't wait to see pictures of all y'all's little fuzz balls. I've just put my eggs on lockdown. Only 4 viable of the original 12 after a quick candling. Not sure why the others quit- I really do think my incubator sucks. Will be replacing it with a more highly rated one after this hatch.

So sorry about your eggs but four is better than zero. I wish you the best. I have 9 out of 13. I have to take out four that were not fertile. Two I have no idea if I have anything in them. They are French copper Marans. I’m using my own home made incubator.

I have one who hatched yesterday, and another who showqed up this morning. Waiting on the rest to come through, fingers crossed I get more then the last successful hatch. For sure going to remove them this evening to a brooder. Just have to do it rapidly as not to loose moisture or heat.

Yay congrats. My first pip I noticed around 4am and nothing yet and the other two at 7 am

My eggs are now on day 15, I am getting ready for lock-down. I candled they eggs today, 8 out of 9 had development, not bad if I say so myself.

Two little bantams are out. One is a little chipmunk and the other looks all black feet and beak! They are beautiful. It’s worth the wait

Here are the two cuties. Question they are struggling to walk. Is that normal? I thought chicks come out of the shell and start walking right away
