Official Squatch Watchers

That would be great. I have this bizarre idea.....I am having a second coop built and I want all white chickens in it. I'm going to give them all French names. Obviously I need to get a life. Lol
Sounds lovely! All white of different breeds or all white same breed?

I NEED AN OPOSSUM CATCHER!!!!!!

View attachment 1252011

About 30 minutes ago, I hear my chickies SCREETCHING outside.... I'm yelling at DH and slappin the hell outta him to get the flashlight so I can shine it outside at the coops... he's all trying to put his bathrobe and slippers on.... (many 4 letter words were passed at this time). We find an opossum IN the prefab coop. One chickie was out in the run, and that's the one screaming bloody murder.

Lil bastard squeezed in through the *temporary* kennel fence that has, somehow, been *temporary* for over a month now. Gah I gotta get on DH's behind about finishing up that coop!!!

Needless to say, ALL of the current chickies are locked up in the prefab coop that isn't even supposed to hold 8 chickens..... gahhhhhhhh 2xs!!!! :barnie:barnie

So, time to kill me an opossum..... and yes, it is O-possum... and it will be dead within the week!!!
Sorry Smuv, not fun when you are ill. I killed a possum with a broom when i lived in town.

LMAO DH had already headed out and had the damn thing frozen in fear. He was looking for something to shoo it out. I'm all like *shoo it out my aunt fannie*, grabbed the closest thing I saw and hit the bottom step of the porch at full speed. I get to the coop... DH looks at what's in my hand and goes *what in the HELL are you gonna do with that?*.... I look down... I had grabbed our garden hose spray attachment. Yeah, guess I was gonna drown it!!! :lau :gig

Live trap and stinky fishy smelling bait?

My hubby says "shotgun". :hmm

I am not sure Smuvs. I never even seen a live O-possum except on TV.
Omg, i went out to see what the Papillons were barking at in our backyard in FL. I didn't have my glasses on but i though at first it was a cat. It was BIG and hairy and hissing. I got up to within about 2 feet of it and realized it was a humongous possum! The dogs and i went indoors, as i had no gun at that point.

I'd like one of those too. I'm getting 2 white Seramas and a white Wyandotte Bantam and I know a lady that breeds what she calls "Showgirls".
The only naked necks I would take. Love the showgirls.
Has anyone noticed how skittish leghorns are or is it just mine
I had 4 brown leghorns. They were my first girls. Very skittish! I still have 2 of them. There 5ish now. Still get eggs and still skittish. With constant contact they get better but prefer not to be handled.
