Official Squatch Watchers

The only naked necks I would take. Love the showgirls.

I had 4 brown leghorns. They were my first girls. Very skittish! I still have 2 of them. There 5ish now. Still get eggs and still skittish. With constant contact they get better but prefer not to be handled.
Me too! I'll let you know if I get one

Different breeds. I don't know what made me want to do it....maybe its cuz I'm so pure and innocent.
I am offering the name Gigi. I don't really know if it's French but I think it sounds like a girl that would at the very least, hang out with a bunch of French girls

You could even do a little reconstruction/splinting on that beak with crazy glue and bits of coffee filter paper.
My favorite crazy glue is the kind that has the paint brush like with nail polish.
In this case less really IS MORE because if you use too much it takes too long to dry.

View attachment 1252269 Good morning everyone. Hey Apryl29, yup to fast to quick, do you clog I like watching people dance, clog, interpretive, ballet, etc. The moon was awesome to see, sorry you missed it, wish pics were better. That's alot of eggs is that the norm?So sorry for your feathered family member, hope she'll be ok :hugs
Oh, I don't dance. I have no rhythm at all & a bad knee. I always thought it'd be nice to learn, but it never happened. I'm just glad my kids like it. It's so much fun to watch them. They dance constantly.. At home, standing in the store.

Yard sale find.
So ugly it's beautiful...

Cleaned it up, stripped out the wiring and snapped out the sockets, then dab painted it GOLD, of course...

Then swapped out stick-in-the ground solar lights where the sockets used to be...

Ta-daaaaaa!

So fancy!

@apryl29 I have 13 hens total but none are egg a day layers. My two Wheaten Ameraucana lay slightly different colors so I’m waiting for one of them to start up again. They were not happy molters. My BC still hasn’t laid for me. But her sister who Suzi has started so I’m hopeful.

You could file her beak a little if you think it bothers her or causes problems. How it’s chipped is odd. You could very carefully put some super glue on it to stop it from splitting. Just don’t glue her beak shut! Obviously. :p
My bantam started laying again after a mold then stopped again. Free loaders. At least they're pretty.
It looks like the bottom half of the beak might be a little long? Idk, compare it to the others.

Those pics are old, it's still spilt though. I tried gluing a piece of teabag on it, but I kept gluing it to my fingers. She didn't like being man handled. I may try again now that she's older & more compliant.

:lau Maybe you want to see something associated with chickens that looks clean....
All my white birds look like they were stuffed in a bag and drug through the mud But they used to be pretty.

I have 11 girls, but I usually get 6 a day. The most I got in one day was 8 when I had 12 girls. I have 4 egrets and have never gotten all 4 on the same day. I had 7 Brown layers & the most I got in one day was 6, but 4-5 is typical.
