Official Squatch Watchers

I’m behind as usual and most have already said it so well but I’ll try to sum up...

:weeFor Misty and the Mr. Such great news!

:bow To Stacy for stepping in when needed. Hopefully the kids will get the idea that taking care of another life is serious business. Both work and rewarding.
Thank you :hugs

Ok, my turn for all the catch-up stuff.
Misty, congrats for you, the Mr. and the child.

Staci, great job helping someone in need, maybe you could help teach the kids how to feed and clean the poo, and help them do the poo thing every 2 or 3 days until they're older and can do it daily themselves.

Ruby, you can get edible glitter dust for the chocolate, and use regular glitter for the rest.

For all the others, Vinique utilizes the edible glitter powder. Sorry, Ruby, Vinique is alcohol, so you'll have to wait a bit before enjoying it, however, you can look it up online at home.

The hawk issues really bite, as well as the opossum problems. Opossums and raccoons are stubborn issues when you need to remove them from the vicinity. We had an opossum in the run with my 17 yr old blind, deaf dog, hubby shot the thing multiple times with a pellet gun to get it out of the run and ended up having to shoo it out a different way because it didn't care about the pellets embedded in it's head. I had to trap a rabid raccoon when I was a teen because animal control wouldn't do anything until it was contained. An apple on a stick, a laundry basket hanging on the end of a broom, some patience, and a cinder block to keep it from escaping, and it was waiting for them to come get it.

Hi Suzi, I'm heading to bed, since it's almost 4 am and i haven't been to bed yet. I was working on some crochet, otherwise I would have dropped in a while ago, and would have been in bed by now. My normal bed time bird chores don't take long, but I ended up washing Lizbeth's feathered feet and fluffy bottom, then had to towel dry her before putting her in her pen. Gurtrude was totally content to watch, since she had already gotten her feet washed when she came out for kitchen chicken time. Lizbeth has hay in her pen, so dirty feet isn't much of a problem, which is good considering she's a Cochin. I need to have DD#4 give Gurtrude a bath this weekend, at least we don't have any bugs worry about, and Gurtrude likes water and the hair dryer. So it's just going to be warm water and Dawn original dish detergent, and a whole lot of tlc. :love

We still need to take Lizbeth to Petsmart so everyone there can meet her. They already know the dogs and Gurtrude, and the trainer will actually be helping DD#4 with some additional training for Gurtrude (that should be interesting on a resume...professionally trained dogs and a chicken).

Hope everyone has a great morning. Talk to y'all later.

Morning Squatchers.

Made some French toast, sausages, scrambled eggs and pumpkin muffins. :drool
Oh and milk and juice is in the fridge, coffee is hot and in the pot. Cups are above the pot and glasses to the right of the sink.

Stacey, what you did for your neighbor was very kind. I do hope they maintain things better. Were the bunnies getting fed and watered at least?

Morning Misty!

Hoping you get to have a relaxing mellow day. :)

I have to go get dog food so yea store.
Then I may break out the sewing machine. Gotta get back into sewing so I can gear up to make the cushion covers for the basement. I am so out of practice!

I made new drapes for the bedroom and covers for Hubby's chair but that was all very simple compared to the sofa cushions.
I may make some pillow cases since ours are rather worn.
