Official Squatch Watchers

Ohhh you'd said it was coming to room temp so I assumed it'd been in the fridge. That'll make it easier to store. How are you protecting it from the animals? Razor wire?

Oh my GAWD!! I didn't even consider her fur babies! I would freak if my food mongering dog scarfed down a ham like that one.
:th

My black bantam polish x is very broody I would like one more broody hen though

Buy 26.....sell the ones you don't want to keep and process the rest.
Just freaking kidding! That would be insane!

I so want to do that lol.

I really need to downsize though.

Pantry. It's the only room that is kept at a steady temperature AND the only room the animals *aren't allowed* in..... I learned last night that SOMETIMES the DH would let his *battle buddies* in the room with him while he dressed for work. (Pantry is currently half pantry and half his military dressing room). That tatering tater stops NOW.

PS. The animals are his *battle buddies*... does that make me the Commander or the Enemy?!?!? :idunno

::: don't answer that........ :::

I need to go let my well rested birds out.
Gonna do it all classy like in a fur coat and fancy spiked heel shoes.

I already picked the poo in the kennel all super low class like. Slippers, socks and a hoodie.........probably should a wore pants.
TMI I do my farm chores in pj pants and sans bra all the time. :D
@apryl29 the meat does not get refrigerated, ever. That brings on moisture, which then ruins the cure. Also, hells YES I plan on keeping the bone(s) for soup. Probably gonna have to hack the bone down into pieces... and they will stay with me forEVAHHHHHH
I picture you wearing cut ham bone pieces like a trophy necklace. :lau

@TexasSam I did some research and 24 jumbo egg cartons in a copy paper box is roughly $12 to ship FedEx. That makes them the same price as buying new. :(

@CapricornFarm I did the same for you... 24 jumbo egg cartons in a copy paper box. USPS looks to be the cheapest at $10.15. (That’s to postal code 23803 Petersburg. Your profile says southern VA)
