Okay, so I'm outside today checking everyone over looking at feet, checking for mites y'all know the good stuff. I'm checking the roo, and he's got this lump on the side of his head of course I'm shook. I start spreading feathers, looking and then i realise it's a sunflower seed in his ear. I don't know how it happened, don't want to know. Must be a bad day for rooster ears.

You sure do know how to have a good time!

Making sure all the pipes are in good working order before mine (AND TODDIES) next trip! :gig And I absolutely agree... I would probably like just about damn near anything rather than having my country invaded by strangers.... twice! Probably gonna do what Cappy says and pre-Xanax, as well as post Xanax! lolol

Good morning all. Woke up, in my new bathrobe, took my meds and climbed back in bed. Smelled the wonderful breakfast @Anansi put out as I can't eat yet... gotta wait an hour :hit

With the CP Coop now covered in hardware cloth, although just zip tied, we figured we didn't have to lock the flock up in the prefab coop last night. From the bedroom winder, no one looks the worse for wear..... and although I have seen some head bobbing in the CP Coop by the taterholes, I'll need to take a trip out to the coop to see if they are all there and alive and kicking. (I have now used the word taterholes so much that I have added it to my online dictionary so it will stop being underlined in red! :lau)

The week looks like taters in the weather department. All rain and overcast, except for Thursday, which might be overcast, but still hit 70°F!!! Definitely gonna go out and cut boards for the CP Coop door then.

So, hope everyone has a terrific day! PS. The fudge is to.die.for! :D

My BC hen has poo around her vent today. Kinda weird because she is usually pretty good at staying clean

If it was just a little poppy I wouldn't worry to much but I would keep an eye on her bum.

My super fluffy ones sometimes don't clear their feathers properly. Usually the next time they dust bathe they fix the issue.

If she does get a build up you may need to trim her feathers a bit there.

Dove recently had a build-up of poo, not exactly around her vent, more just on her butt-fluff. It got so bad that I bathed her and trimmed her butt feathers, and her butt has stayed clean now.
