Day 2 of no broody, so far so good.

Coffee and hot water are on, cinnamon apple streusel oatmeal inn the slow cooker, zucchini bread and banana muffins on the counter with the butter.

Have a great day, see y'all later. :love
Thanks Anansi, yummy! Low cal too!

PIC and I used @Anansi s blender and made banana blueberry mango protein smoothies for breakfast. Nan, you're out of blueberries!!!

Today looks like TATERS for sure outside. It was terribly windy last night and blew over the run roost.

Gotta run into town to drop off the box containing my BROKEN toolbox to Fedex. Kroger for some fresh fruit and veg. Probably gonna pop into the Goodwill store and Lowes while I"m in that area.

HEY! This was in my newsfeed this morning... thought I would share! https://spoodoir.com/2018/03/02/beg...nti-and-matteo-tranchellinis-chicken-project/

That was delightful!

That one doesn't move though. I need one that does the motion.. that just looks like it's looking up.

Once she heard chickens and goats she probably thought 'Oh, the wet butt makes sense now'.

Awww He's so pretty!

Same. We have 'daddy long legs' or basement spiders.. We named one Gerald. He's gone now, but a pair in opposite corners of my bathroom met up one night & made babies. A few days later the eggs hatched and we had baby spiders in the shower. We had to check before we used it. I don't mind them, they eat the ants that find their way in every spring. REAL spiders die if they come near me. The hairspray trick does work. Had a huge one crawl out from behind our baseboard heater.. it died.
Also:

When I took Jaiden to the vet, we were put in a little exam room to wait. While we were waiting I saw a spider crawling across the floor. I spent a good 5 minutes trying to get her to notice it. It was a good last meal.

GASP! I want to love them all! How old are they now?

Personally, (with no hatching experience) I wouldn't bother if you don't think it would help. You know the incubator was messed up so that's likely the cause.

Can you cage her for a bit, put her into a time out and see if that corrects her behavior? Not actually sure if that'd help, but I have no idea otherwise.
Those bunnies are about 2 weeks now i think. Have to check the calendar. Anyway they will be ready to sell April 18th i think, off the top of my fuzzy brained head.

Well, I've given up on the 6 eggs in the lockdown bator. :hit

I candled them, no movement and the embryos aren't even close to filling the egg. I think my buggy bator did them in. So I turned of the bator and will toss the eggs tomorrow. I'm debating doing an eggtopsy. It will be hard to see dead baby chicks.

I should be getting my Ovation tomorrow! I'll be adding more Cornish eggs to the bator and candling the mixed flock and other Cornish eggs. I'll be leaving the Chocolate Orpington eggs alone because I only set them yesterday. I'll have to do some shuffling if I'm going to use my less buggy bator for hatching. I have 9 Cornish eggs (which are probably mostly infertile), 6 mixed flock eggs, and a dozen of the Chocolate Orp/Banty Cochin eggs in there now. Even if all the Cornish eggs go off, it will be hard to add new Cornish eggs to the 24 CO eggs when it comes time to hatch the 6 mixed flock eggs since my Ovation only holds 28 eggs...... I'm already wishing that I sprung for the 56 instead of the 28.
:barnie

Bummer on those eggs. Eggtopsies can be interesting, but just don't bother if you don't want to.
Have the chocolates laid any more eggs?
