Me too! Kind of sad i can't get poinsettias here because of the pets. In FL we kept them outside.
I have loads of snowdrops .....they are the first sign of green. I also have hellebores and winter aconite that both bloom really early and survive even if covered in snow
Are you ok? I learned to put my knee up to protect myself from that. They do not like it and quit doing silly stuff like that. Try it out.Morning all you nutty great people!
Cute gingerbread house!
I can't say I have ever tried to make one. They are cute though.
One of the dogs and I need to come to an understanding today. He started the day thinking it is OK to mow me down.
A 120 pound long legged dog at full speed can sure send this old gal flying. Such a naughty thing to do.
Not interested in more puke and diarrhea clean up, already do enough of that! The old dog gets diarrhea if you change his diet and the cats think puking is a competitive sport. They take turns!Poinsettia are poisonous but in huge doses. I would be more worried about vomit and diarrhea clean up.

I'll have to look those up. I had never heard of snowdrops until they bloomed here. I had to look them up they were so cute.
They do need more protein when they're molting, don't they... Looks like heading out to get some feather fixer pellets this weekend. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't so much more expensive than the layer stuff. I've also been thinking about giving them some hamburger too.Eating feathers means they need more protein. (Could mean)
There's always that ONE high maintenance bird in each group. In bed, snuggled up with the sick kiddo.... SO clingy when he has a fever..... I wonder if he will ever outgrow it.... watching Iron Chef America..... now craving lobster and goose and crispy chicken skin....
The peeps are chirping away happily. About the only TWEEP we hear is when Pouf (the grey one) gets left alone at the top of the tunnel while the others have ducked in to warm up.... Pouf will sit there until I reach in and grab him and toss him into the tunnel with the others... I'm like really?!?? Dumbarse....
Here's something for y'all to check out!! https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/want-to-monitor-your-coop-from-your-phone.1209201/
I always got pecked on the butt when someone was under my chair.I love when I'm sitting on the deck and realize it's time for a chicken count and hear a chirp and there they are under my chair.
Bacon bits. LMAO!@ rjohns called the lady he got the pigs from and she didn't even know the sex..... so we're hoping for little bacon bits soon. @ Smuvers is back....her kiddo is sick so she has been busy being mom. The rest of us are discussing our Thanksgiving deserts and we have a new squatcher
I haven't had a cartilage piercing done, but I've heard that same thing for many people. My cousin's never healed. If you aren't going to do it yourself, I really suggest going to a tattoo/ piercing shop to have it done. My brother has several piercings and that's what he does. He even took his son there to get his ear pierced. I wish I'd done that w/ my daughters, the older one moved and now her lobe hole is off center.A word of caution against using the piercing cartridges to do your cartilage!! They are blunt and will most likely cause keloids (I have a ton of piercings and am speaking from experience).
Harder tissue like cartilage needs to be pierced with a hollow needle and have appropriate surgical steel type jewelry put in. You CAN use a piercing gun but I wouldn't recommend it (neither would any legitamite piercer). You can get hollow needles online! I've done most of my own piercings
Hoping none of that came off as condescending- just trying to save you from the same mistakes myself and many others have made![]()
I hate when that happens! Can you just order the stuff online? People / long lines is 90% of the reason I don't do the Thanksgiving sales. I *might* go out in this evening, but I'll likely just buy some stuff online. I need to get a trail cam b/c something keeps trying to get into my chicken coop & I keep forgetting to set the trap.So everyone just went to sleep or what?
I guess i could read a book or something.
Now i am regretting not buying the things i picked out at Hobby Lobby because the lines were long. Sigh.
You don't need to get a whole bunch of bunnies. You just need to get 2 and they'll make the rest for you. & LOVEEEEE the shirt! LOLI was testing the waters about pigs. Apparently i do not NEED pigs! But i did tell him i am getting a whole bunch of bunnies. He said before turkeys would be ok if we can eat them.
I saw a t shirt today that said"Driving My Husband Crazy... One Chicken at a time!"
The only thing I can say in spanish is Where are your pants? which I learned watching iCarly.. oddly enough it's a phrase that applies frequently in parenting. We lived in El Paso for about 7 years.... everything was brown, dusty, and if you didn't speak Spanish you were Duck outta Luck....
Hi Sam!!!
We always planted spring bulbs in the fall, but you have to bury them kind of deep. Then you my mom would always dig them up and plant summer flowers. I'm not sure you actually even need to dig up spring bulbs b/c obviously the winter wouldn't affect them since you're planting them before, but I think it was more replacing them w/ summer bulbs which supposedly you had to dig up b/c they'd freeze in the winter. I'm in Ohio so YRMV. But I had crocus & iris bulbs I planted once and never dug up and they grew for years until we moved and I gave them to a friend... not sure if they made it in the transplant.I would think so... They're a bulb? Am I doing it wrong?
You are my people. I kill ever plant I touch. If it takes more work than digging a hole and tossing a plant in I don't even bother. I was forced to help w/ my parent's garden this year and 1/2 the stuff didn't grow or didn't produce anything.Just to let everyone know, I have never planted much more than a piss poor garden, so no flowers or bushes so I don't know when to plant crap.![]()
IDK how they haven't driven you crazy already. Any reason why you're still keeping them in your room? Also.. what do you do with the eggs that didn't hatch?Good morning. Up with the peeps.... lawd these little balls of terror need to get outta my bedroom and into the garage! TWEEP TWEEP.
Not sure if I am yet brave enough to deal with Black Friday madness JUST for a couple of cattle panels and cat litter...... although I'm sure TSC isn't going to be nutso like Wally World or the like. I placed an order last night to pick up at Lowes.... luckily, the pick up can be held off until tomorrow.
Family tradition dictates we put our Xmas tree up TODAY. I also bought a gingerbread house kit (don't you judge me!!!!) for me and the PIC to put together...... aaaaand the DH gets to start whistling and singing off key all the Xmas songs he wants without me saying a word... just shooting him dirty looks and flipping him off... sometimes even behind his back!
Have a terrific day all! I'll pop by to check in on everyone. Kisses!
My kids always had to test the decorations, & would start eating it almost immediately. So proud of all of you that actually make the gingerbread houses instead of just popping open the box and eating the construction materials!
