Oh I am very used to blocking these goons. They are both 9 years old now. He tried plowing me from behind this morning.
There he sat ignoring me telling him to go outside, ignoring me like a naughty child, right up until my back was turned. Then he launched off the sofa like a rocket.

I am fine as he only scored one knee. I think he and I need to go for a good 5 mile walk so he remembers who is in charge.

The other dog (they are brothers) is very well behaved.


@apryl29 I used the feather fixer and did not notice any improvement over the other feed. It is also very dusty feed. Just my experience.
I give mine canned mackerel and boiled eggs to help get through a molt.

Was it store bought eggs or their own eggs? I'm not getting very many eggs from them anymore, so the few I am getting I'd rather not feed to them, if I can help it. I'll look for some mackerel (I don't buy fish.. is it canned, if so, in oil or water?). Thanks!

I don't buy feather fixer either.
I do buy canned sardines in water and I buy chicken livers and boil them.

I use canned mackerel in brine. I drain all the liquid.
The eggs are their own.
I heard Walmart has the mackerel for less then as dollar a can. I don't do that store so I get mine from the dollar tree.

Chicken livers is a good idea.

Speaking of liver has anyone seen the price of beef liver lately? I was shocked!! It is more then London broil here!

Cow is super expensive lately. I wanted to get a small roast for stew and it was like $20! Of course it was Giant Eagle & they were have their 'BOGO' sale so they jack up the price, but even then... I couldn't justify $20 for a few lbs of animal flesh. There's a butcher around here that has good prices, but it's farther than I'd like to drive. I don't like getting meat that I have to freeze b/c I never use it.

I bought a gingerbread house kit but it was condemned...something took bites out of the walls and ate most the shingles that place was a dump! Going to have to go to gingerbread hud and get another one, maybe use the couple walls left from the first one for a little doghouse or something.

My kids always had to test the decorations, & would start eating it almost immediately.

The only thing I can say in spanish is Where are your pants? which I learned watching iCarly.. oddly enough it's a phrase that applies frequently in parenting.

The only thing we can say is lavate las manos, which is wash your hands in Spanish... and we learned that from an episode of Family Guy American Dad!

You are my people. I kill ever plant I touch. If it takes more work than digging a hole and tossing a plant in I don't even bother. I was forced to help w/ my parent's garden this year and 1/2 the stuff didn't grow or didn't produce anything.

Yeah, the only time things seem to grow around me is if *I* am NOT THE ONE growing it!

IDK how they haven't driven you crazy already. Any reason why you're still keeping them in your room? Also.. what do you do with the eggs that didn't hatch?

They've only been in here for a week because it was super crazy cold here... didn't wanna put them into the cold garage until they were about a week old. And the unhatched eggs were tossed far into the neighbors field.

In case you haven't seen it already, the cattle panels were only $2 off, so it may be worth it to save your sanity if you're only getting a couple. BUT I believe you can order online and pick up in store. I have a trail cam I'm thinking about ordering that gives me the option to in store pick up. [ETA: apparently the quantity I want is not available in store so I'd have to choose to have it shipped. Boo. But it does say shipping would be free.]

We definitely bought enough to justify going....... read a post I will soon..uh... POST!

The gingerbread kits are so much fun. We have an elf on the shelf who periodically brings the kids a surprise. The gingerbread house sounds like a great idea!
Our tree will go up while the kids are away and they'll put on the ornaments when they get home Sunday night. I have a lot of cleaning to do this weekend.
I also noticed you ... as much as I do and now I don't feel so strange.

Honey I am QUEEN of the dots.... cause I never stop talking/thinking!!! My dots are just run on thoughts... you should hear me when I talk... I end up finishing a paragraph I started 3 hours and 176 thoughts ago!!!!

I never made a gingerbread house. I would hate to eat it after all that work! But the kids used to help decorate gingerbread men and women, which hubby LOVES! Might have to make some this year.

That sounds exactly like me. I was talking to a friend and kept getting side tracked while telling a story then 1/2 an hr later remembered I didn't finish it. We just interrupt each other at this point b/c it's one long run on sentence.

Yeah. that totally justifies it. I decided to buy a different trail cam at Walmart rather than the one they had at TSC. It was more expensive, but had way better reviews. It was still on sale so I can justify it.
