I got 20 eggs today!!

Lordy lordy!! Feast or famine with these birds!!

I got 94 eggs last week. That's the highest numbers I've seen in over a year.

Good morning.

I'm gonna call it. I think all the movement and chirping I heard/saw was in my head. Candled Six and Mr Nibbles and there's NO movement. I believe in my heart of hearts DH tatered them when he was *helping* by opening the bator during lockdown to add COLD water. I am really not a happy camper.

Not quite sure now what to do with Seven. We have the small bantams in a brooder in the bathroom... think they'd take to Seven? GAH I don't want them to be alone.....

@pitbullmomma had/has a power outage, so any assistance on how she can keep her broodies warm would be helpful!!

DRs. today for follow up on hypertension meds, sonogram of ovaries (cross fingers its NOT endometriosis) and blood work (pray that it IS a thyroid issue).

For PBM, Stuff the chicks in your shirt, make a huddle box for them with one of those sticky, oxygen activated heating pads stuck to the underside of the box for them to keep warm.

Having had bantams and bigs in the brooder together they should take to number 7 quickly.

Little 7 may need your help a bit since (s)he is so young. The bantams may give a few curiosity pecks.

It's either stick her with the bantams or quickly place an order from Cackle Hatchery for derps... which I really don't wanna do. It's not the $$$, it's mixing a *home grown*derp with hatchery derps.

I need opinions here.... should I put Seven in with the bantams or place an order through Cackle hatchery today for like 7 more? That would total 8 (which is how many eggs I received in the first place) or 3.... or a full *set* of 15?????

I would put 7 in with the bantams myself.

They aren't horribly spaced out in age.

Yeah, only like a week or so... and I think Seven might be about their same size currently.. HA damn tiny tatering bantams...
