Official Squatch Watchers

Morning all :frow Hugs to all who need them :hugs
kiki ducks like it a bit warmer and dryer than chickens. I've had best luck at 98* and 40% humidity until day 25, then up to 65% humidity for the last 3 days. During my last hatch I pulled the eggs out to candle just before lock down and found this...

she was a full 3 days before the rest...

Good morning all. Wet and nasty here today.

Waiting for my SIL, nephew, her BF and his daughter to arrive this evening. We haven't seen them in at least 6 years. Time certainly flies. And then they're taking my widdle PIC with them to GA for Spring Break tomorrow morning!!! I'm not gonna be a Momma for 5 whole days!!! :hit:hit:hit:hit:hit

Today is just putting everything back into the rooms stanley steemer cleaned and doing a final touch up of cleaning so the family doesn't think we're TOTAL slobs.

Kiki mistakenly bought balut eggs at the store. She candled one before she went to eat it and found the error. So now s she’s going to try an incubate them. She’ll be starting a whole thread dedicated to her attempt.

Cappys results came back clear! :weeShe hatched a bunch of quail and of course has been working circles around all of us.

Hope had her little one! :jumpy Beautiful healthy little girl.

PBM lost power overnight and kept her babies warm with bewb heat. Got pooped on all night but everyone survived.

Smuvs DH thought he was being helpful and opened the ‘bater after lockdown. She lost her 2 other little derps. But 7 (derp name) is happily hanging out with the little Bantam chicks she brought home from the store.

Rae is having hatching problems too.

I’m sure I missed someone or something.
You did great. No need to hide under the chair. Hugs.

Good morning everyone.

No chicks yet. When I moved my 6 BC/CO eggs into the lockdown incubator, I candled the 5 eggs that were supposed to hatch on Wednesday and I only saw movement in 1. I think I'm going to put a safety hole in that egg today and see what I can see. Hopefully I have better luck with the BC/CO eggs but I'm not holding out a lot of hope for those 6 either, even though there are wiggly babies in all 6. They were started in the cheapo incubator with high humidity as well, but they spent at least half their pre-lockdown time in the Brinsea. Tomorrow, I move the 11 BC/CO and 4 Cornish eggs that started in the Brinsea into the lockdown incubator. I have more hopes for them.

So my Incuview was actually missing a part, which is why the turning arm fell off. It is a cotter pin. I made my own. Not a big deal but i am cranky and not happy to have to fix a bator that cost like $180. I read a thread where people like this bator. But why not have a button for increase temperature or decrease instead of push two buttons once, push this three times etc ? I like user friendly. If it hatches the eggs i guess that is the main thing. I still need another bator. May make my own. So far i have a plastic bin, styrofoam, and glass for windows. And a ceramic heating bulb. Somewhere i have a small fan if i can find it.

Hold up.
I just about dropped the egg it freaked me out.
Let me catch my breath ...
Breath caught.
Let me go try to film this.
