Official Squatch Watchers

I totally would, but he wants a grandiose "garage" where he can not finish his projects in. I think he's still miffed because I told him he couldn't put a monster building in front of the house absolutely no way! I offered a almost flat parcel at the bottom of the yard where he could make noise and pile crap all day but nooo too many trees that might fall. I can't win. Plus every prefab I've shown him he says "I could build that cheaper" and no, he can not with the lumber prices its impossible! And plus I just don't want to! This is the one I taterd up and showed him, I love it but its a pipe dream. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Outdoor...2-ft-x-8-ft-Cedar-Garden-Shed-SR812/100655548
Wow. That garden shed is adorable. Also very similar to those “Leonard” buildings.

Men really can share certain traits.
Maybe he needs time to percolate this information... try it on for size... roll it around on his tongue...

I’ve found that this sometimes occurs here, then eventually HE comes up with the idea.

For example, ......
Like when I first started talking about how much I wanted to have chickens... ....until he finally said yes.
Approximately 30-some years.

@Chickassan my local home depot puts models of those buildings in the parking lot. Then eventually they sell the models for like half the price. I don't know if it's when new models come out, or how they determine when, but I'm always checking them out for the reduced sale. :D

20 babies so far. :wee

Oh, I know the Leonard buildings they've got one for sale painted red and white but its close to 5 grand and its used and its smaller than the home depot shed. Its absolutely stunning though, think it was a kids playhouse. Rent to own and not too tatery of an intrest rate if I went for it. I've tried the reverse psychology on the man, not enough mind to sway lol! Got to keep in mind I had to throw a tantrum like a three year old to get my little hens, not proud of it but yeah. If I'd wanted more game birds like he likes and profited from he'd have wrapped them with a bow. Hopefully I don't have to bust out another tantrum, I'm getting old and I'd probably throw a hip out.:gig

@FlyingNunFarm I totally agree. People leave stuff out and they learn that there's food by people and aren't afraid anymore. Then they wonder why they're seeing more bears now. Last fall my parent's neighbor said he saw a little bear run through his backyard. Fortunately he's on the other side of the road, but I'd be shocked if there wasn't a bear hiding in the woods behind us.

Red circle is my parent's house, red dot is my chicken coop. There be some monsters in those woods.

Good morning, sweet Squatchers! I have finally caught up on Kiki's balut thread, I feel like a dirtyrottentraitor, sorry!

Flower seems to be doing fine this morning. She spent the night in her little hospital crate and is eating, drinking, talking, and pooping large, extremely smelly loose turds.

Her eye still is a little bloody and I'm not seeing any pupil reflex or menance sign, so whether she will have sight in that eye remains to be seen. But it's open, normal size, not swollen, and she doesn't appear to be in pain.

I can deal with a one-eyed, sweet orange chicken. :) I'm just so thankful she survived; she is my baby.

Hubby and I decided we are not gonna let Emma (our insane Chihuahua/pug/alien mix) outside without watching her any more after that hawk incident. She is maybe 12 pounds of solid evil. But there is this recent story in NJ of a Frenchie getting picked up and attacked by a hawk, so I'm not taking any chances!

Love ya's! Everybody have a wonderful day! :)
I gave up, but I did see the day 5 video! They really should have so you can just see the pics/ videos in posts. It'd make it so much easier to stay caught up in big threads.
Glad your baby is doing well. How scary!
And that is the best description of a dog, ever.

at work i found I had to make it seem like their idea, which takes a lot of time, but at least thing get done right.
One of the many reasons I never got married, gets old quick
I have a friend like that... she's exhausting. My boss too... it's hell trying to get her to do her freakin' job. You shouldn't have to manipulate people to get stuff done.

Ditto. I decided checking the first post once a day is enough for me. It was making me feel anxious being stretched between working and keeping up on that thread. I gave up.

Squatchy friends are awesome, and not so prolific.
I gave up too.. but I also skipped a lot today on this thread.. Sometimes I don't mind wading through 100's of posts, other days I'm like Pfhst.. skip skip skip... but you all do get crazy sometimes and I'll come back to 500+ pages.. it just doesn't feel like that much anymore. Too bad we can't choose the # of posts per page, that would make it easier to get through some of these too.. or if you could choose to only see posts from the OP, then click on them to go back to the full thread to see responses. Of course, with normal threads, that's not necessary.. it's like 3 pages and it's over.

Day 3 of tending 2 puppies..........

My chickens hate me right now.
I went out and poured fresh water, spread treats, put the wet mash in the run.......and......FAILED TO OPEN POP DOORS!

Poor babies wanted out really bad!
Two hours of daylight and all locked up! I'm a tired granny!
