What kind do you think you will get?

I'm not sure. The call ducks are so tatering adorable but I've read Khaki Campbells make good backyard ducks and are good layers.As always I'm open to suggestions

Happy Easter everyone!

I’m probably not going to be around much this evening. The Milk Drinker rammed his head into my nose earlier and now my entire face hurts. Fortunately, I got the pot roast in the oven before this happened and my SIL can work on fixings for Easter dinner. I’m laying in bed with an ice pack. I’m tempted to take a nap.

My Daughters hurt my quite a bit!

The pot roast turned out to be delicious, my face is feeling a good bit better (after the Milk Drinker rammed the top of his head into my nose earlier) and the Milk Drinker is in love with the peep bunny stuffed animal that a lady at church gave him today. He’s been carrying bit around all day. I think he found a lovey.

I’m going to have to get at least one backup.

I’m soooooo excited! I have 2 BCM and get 1 egg at a time. Brown and speckled. Last year 1 of the girls suddenly had a huge red comb and giant waddles. I joked she made the boys jealous. Well, it eventually went down in size but stayed nice and red. I thought for sure she must have gotten injured somehow and wasn’t getting all the female hormones she needed. I figured she’d just never lay.

Today I got 2 BCM eggs! Brown and speckled and solid smooth brown. She does lay eggs!

I haven't noticed that Cochins are derpy.... My rooster is slower than the clean legged roosters, but he's pretty smart.
