I have actually done fairly well keeping up with the baluties. Lots of off topic convo while we wait.

So to sum up for @KikisGirls ....

First eggs did good until ghetto bator incident caused them to overheat.

Second try was chicken balut. With the plan of keeping any hatchlings. Unfortunately chicks were not alive upon arrival as hoped.

Now The Man (English speaking store employee) has Kikis number with instructions to call with news of fresh live balut.

We are all awaiting a new balut delivery. (And filling the time with idle chatter)

Post #1 in the thread has been kept up to date with pertinent information.

ETA: She got an incubator! How could I have forgotten. Brand new in the box from the GMIL.

I’m soooooo excited! I have 2 BCM and get 1 egg at a time. Brown and speckled. Last year 1 of the girls suddenly had a huge red comb and giant waddles. I joked she made the boys jealous. Well, it eventually went down in size but stayed nice and red. I thought for sure she must have gotten injured somehow and wasn’t getting all the female hormones she needed. I figured she’d just never lay.

Today I got 2 BCM eggs! Brown and speckled and solid smooth brown. She does lay eggs!
