Good luck. I'll cross my fingers that you have nice weather and warm water. My first crew race will be on saturday!!! I'm seat 6, and a port rower!
I wish the food would magically appear when you post this. French toast sounds sooo good right now!Coffee and water are on, there's a quiche keeping warm in the oven, and apple streusel in the slow cooker. There are also crepes and dairy free, gluten free French toast. Enjoy
for everyone, and see y'all later.

I am on 23&me. Go see if we are related!Wayyyyyy off topic, but I sent away for the 23andme testing and got my results today. I'm not mentally prepared to see who the 1083 people that is says are related to me across the USA... But it's super interesting to see the DNA results... it raises so many questions b/c it says there's Native American dna, esp since 1/2 of my family just came to the USA in the 1900's & the farthest I've been able to go back is the late 1600's for those who were here earlier, but haven't seen anyone who was Native American in the line. I am disappointed that it's not showing any relatives in Italy, which is what I really wanted it for, but hopefully as more people use the service it might answer more questions. My gma's family was rather non-communicative about their history. Much of what I've found out is a shock... back in the olden days newspapers were the form of social media and I've found copies archived online that told me of 3 other siblings my gma had that no one knew about, all died in childhood and 2 had a future sibling who was given the same or similar name. Yet no one, even the kids who were alive when the others had died, referred to them in their obituary which means no one in their family knew about the deceased children. Very strange, but maybe that was common then. I mean, the parents must have loved the children dearly, one had a framed photo embedded in her headstone, which one would assume was very expensive in the early 1900's. Just very strange.. of course, the parent's obituaries were very simple & didn't name their parents or much more than their surviving relatives.
