Official Squatch Watchers

I'm not displeased with Tiny. I'm just trying to figure the chick out and I thought you could help. :) Sorry if it came across that I am unhappy. I'm not!

I thought Tiny was a full Bantam Cochin for a couple of reasons 1) fully feathered middle toe, which isn't feathering in as well as it was in chick down, but that could change 2) Tiny is so small. If Tiny is a mix, that is just fine as well. If Tiny does end up being male, which I think is pretty likely at this point, and full BC I'll probably sell him rather than eat him, which is what I normally do with roosters. We'll just have to wait and see.

Its possible that Kahlua is Tiny's mom, remember the mauve laced hen? She was super small compared to the other chocolates. The gal that took the lavenders also took her, but ended up having to put her with her bantams instead of the lav orps because the lav rooster was just way too much for little Kahlua.

Eh, guess we'll see how Tiny grows out.

@ronott1 I got the spot check thermometer and it is saying the temp in my incubator is 97.0F that is odd because I thought it was running hot.

Careful how you place it. I love it and hate it at the same time. Its picky if the probe is touching anything. I usually tape the wire to a cup or something and let the probe float out in the air. Very finicky thermometer.

That picture of your new bird that looks like a....package, lol! The naked neck.

:lau

And....Good morning, everyone! :)

You are a pea in my pod. ;) :lau

My guess would be porcelain d'Uccles, because of the single comb and the feather feet. He is gorgeous!!! I'm jealous. Those cheeks. I love d'Uccles... :love

x2 on the d'uccle for Sam. Sure is what he looks like to me!

Saw this in another thread and brought it home to show you guys.
It’s a very interesting read.

Which also reminded me that I took a picture of a T-shirt in a store the other day to show you and forgot!

:love love it.

@apryl29 The babies are doing great, the rooster and Hobo are actually looking out for them. They are smart enough to to remember where I put out food and water too "huge relief since they're a little dense." Other eggs are peeping today and they've made little holes so it won't be long.

HOLY TATER!
