Official Squatch Watchers

Morning peeps.

Taking a little break from BYC to study for the AP's and Regents, but I need some advice.

We're incubating 9 button quail and a goose egg(long story) in a farm innovators incubator. It held the temps beautifully, until Tuesday night, when it decided to flip out. The goose egg literally was hot to the touch. The infrared thermometer read 104* on the shell. The button quail eggs are technically in lockdown. One of the other teachers at school has this really nice incubator(like the Brinsea mini advance, only less digital) that he's bringing in today. My main question is do you guys think the eggs will survive? The temps are fairly steady now(but I still don't trust the darn thing) but only after yo-yoing for two days. After the first initial scare, it got down to 80* last night, and up to 102* several times(based on three additional thermometers and the infrared.) Also, do you think I should move the quail eggs, even though today is day 16? There are no pips yet... But that could mean they died... Arg!

There is no telling what particular eggs can tolerate. Just hope for the best. If you know the other bator is stable you could move them asap. Good luck!

Side note-I just went on a random thread, and saw this: "Squatchers bat signal activated." I love you, @staceyj!
Ruby you just made my day. Lol.
It was late, and it seemed as if all the squatchers had turned in for the night,
The problem with these screen names isyour brain tends to make up pet names in their place and when an emergency happens you're left wracking your brain and CAN’T REMEMBER HOW TO SPELL THEM to tag them!!!!

Good luck on your exams Ruby, I know you’ll do GREAT!

:gah!!! Of course, I put out there I have HELLA good news, forgot to *knock wood* and MAY have totaled the whole damn thing!

I have been in talks with several people.... let's say purveyors of locally produced foodstuffs... and MAY have become a supplier of eggs, micro-greens, sprouts and MAYBE meat in the future. Deal isn't set.... still in talks... HOWEVER, this company sought our farm out.... which is weird since we're not even really 50% ESTABLISHED YET.

If this works out even a little bit, I would totally lose my taters.

On the flip side, I REALLY need y'all to send me any extra Xanax you have lying around. The stress of EVERYTHING in the next 6 months is coming at me like a freight train and at full speed..... and, believe it or not.. I am even stressing about an upcoming mini vacation!!!

To @Anansi , why not start a gofundme page? I would donate to your education, and would prefer everyone here to donate to it, over helping me get a breast reduction. Ya see gang... THIS is what I feel gofundme pages should be about.

From what I am gathering, 2018 has been the year of the faulty incubators for us all. I lost 2 complete batches of eggs... and only had ONE derp survive a batch... which is complete shite to me. I had my New Years hatch do OK (8 out of 24 SHIPPED eggs survived, although for real 13... but then the hatched ones started screwing with the eggs and stuff), and since then nothing but the single derp, Seven.
This is a VERY exciting opportunity Smuvy! (Knocks on wood for you!)
I’m hype!

Hey guys, I think I need to put this poor baby out of it's misery. It is so far back on it's hocks that its feet don't touch the floor. I gave it 24 hours to see if it would get any better. No such luck.
