1 bantie, 1 part bantie. They both lay cream colored eggs. The full bantie lays a golf ball-- poor girl. I have 2 suspects of white egg layers. It was just so funny seeing it in the nest box with 2 full size eggs.:lau
Haha oh I know what you mean. I have 2 bannies right now. Had way more they got eaten :hit
And my standard hens lay some big eggs lol.

So cute!!!

Good luck! Hopefully you'll get a full night's sleep soon.

What kind are they?

I didn't know that either! I'll have to check my aussie tonight. I know she has green, but never noticed purple. I think William has purple, but he's an OEBB. Very interesting.
They are Black Ameraucana and I was only told this about Ameraucanas not sure if it’s true to other breeds. @rjohns39 might no something about it I think it is his specialty.

Well, I'm tired and I'm going to bed.

I've had to do two mercy cullings in the last two days (the chick with twisted legs and the sick chocolate hen I bought).

I drove for 4+ hours today.

Moved chicks out to the coop. The older chicks don't seem to mind the littler ones, but the guineas freak them out and they run away from the little blighters that are about 1/8th their size.
:lau:gig:lau:gig
I still have no idea what happened to the 5th guinea keet.

I decided I couldn't deal with slaughtering and eviscerating two roosters today. I swear I'll do it this weekend. Those two boogers deserve it.

Tonight is going to be the first night I don't nurse the Milk Drinker at all between 11pm and 6am. Wish me luck! :fl

I had a surprise today. Doing yard work and using a weed eater I spooked a litter of baby bunnies. They look to be about 2 weeks old.
Don't worry no on e was harmed. They came out of a burrow in my raised strawberry bed. Just 3 adorable wobbly kits. I directed them back into the opening and took my weed eater elsewhere. I had garden gloves on that smelled like the weeds I had been pulling so I think all is well.

My big old dogs got to spend time on the human/chicken side of the yard too. It went better than expected but we still had to add a fence barrier to keep Sparks from freaking out the big flock.

@Redhead Rae it will be ok. :hugs
Hang in there mom!
