Speckled Sussex are awesome! I bought a cockerel and 2 pullets but they are quite scared of people since i guess they weren't handled much as babies. I still have 3 SS hens, so when these youngsters get bigger they can go in with them.

My hubby's torment is me watching some nature show while he tries to sleep.
I do keep the volume low.

You're a good wife, my hubs had to get up at 2am to disloge a mealworm from his underwear he'd kill to just have me watching that bird dude.

The membrane was really dry to me and the inside seemed soupy.... . I didn’t go farther then the pictures show.

Yeah, iv'e had one of those last year made it all the way to lockdown "sorry everything is bator terms with me no idea what lockdown time is called under a broody" waited two days after everybody else hatched and finally broke in. I had a very dry membrane,a lot of "soup" and a really wonky baby. You did good stopping at the membrane.

I set her on the 13th. She was on and off for the first 2 days so I waited till day 10 to candle. All the fertile eggs already were full and dark. I candled again on day 14 to be sure but couldn’t hardly see. Then one last time on the 31st what I would have considered lockdown. I suspected then that one wasn’t right but left it in case.

I’m really glad I didn’t go further!

Worked out twice today... PiYo class in the AM and swimming this afternoon. I'm ded.

Unless it's property, like acreage or houses, I couldn't give two taters about anyone's possessions. I didn't *own* them before, I won't *own* them when I am dead, why bother then.

@apryl29 gonna check out your pinterest boards, thank you!I can kind of understand what you go through with your kiddo, food wise. I have to be gluten free, dairy free, nightshade free and sugar free. I know you go through a butt ton more than that... so I feel for you.

$9 Walmart. Lol. Actually soft and comfy and not THE SWEATY KIND.
