Oh no! I hope your pupper is ok Cappy!
She is calming down. She was freaking out and rubbing her face on the floor. She doesn't look like herself. Common symptoms are vomiting and diarrhea, so far none of that. There is a 24 hour place i can take her to in Roanoke.

My parents had a dog that could not have any vaccines. She swelled up so bad. Tried giving them individually and she still had a reaction. The vet said forget it...not worth the risk.

Monitor her breathing but other then that there wasn't much the vet could do. It had to wear off.

The red is a method of communication sometimes a well. She turned pale because she settled in and the blood supply was shifting to anther part of her body. When the other hen came in, she flashed color for communicating. Lizbeth will go from red to pale as well, in part for communication, in part for temperature regulation, and whatever other reasons. I notice she is pale when she's more content.

@CapricornFarm i hope your pup is alright

Joel does 8 week old CXs ,mostly.... He also does 14 week old cockerels and two year old stewing hens. But he doesn't talk about how long it takes to do the latter two... I need to email sherry and ask her about them.... DIL was complaining about broken bones as I apparently broke rib bones trying to eviscerate them. Tiny body and big hand don't go well together.
I have big hands as well, though they are long and thin. I don’t have a neat carcass when I’m done. I take the legs off at the hip, slit the belly wide under the ribs and break the bird’s back so I can get my hand in the chest. It still tastes good though.
