Guess what I ordered today??????

A 1GB fiber Optic Internet connection:wee:wee:wee
Now all I can do is hope they actually install it. :fl Seems they drug the trunk line past my street over a year ago and the chief engineer's approach to life is not to tee off to the low population streets unless someone threatens to leave... Which I did last night. Sooooo today I got a call and told if you order it, it will come.:fl:fl:fl:fl:fl

Hello peoples! Getting ready to attend a swap tomorrow morning. A 1.5 hour swap but perhaps i can sell some critters and have fun. I have never been to Farmville, VA. Already caught a jake turkey and 20 quail. So i will be up early as it starts at 8 am.
Best of luck.

ETA: I'm thinking about ordering a few bags of feed from right up the road from you... Still can't find what I need anywhere near here and still can't afford the gas to go to Kentucky. ARG:he

Fiber comes up my street but then it is copper under the street to my house!

I tried to get the highest speed but did not get it. Uverse is the same way

I have no idea why they ran the twisted pair and dsl the way they did... suspect it was order of building... Ran it to the house they were living in when they were building my house. Cause it's certainly an around the world way to go. Would not be surprised if the engineer decides to set a new pole on my property and change his route.

ETA: There's a mile of cable from the street to my house, when a quarter mile would do.

Well the tree is taken care of.

I am going to go with silver lining. Losing the peach and apple tree frees up garden space. Since harvests are so sporadic with the trees the space can be more productive.

I have a great neighbor that we share our bounty with and he with us. He makes jams and jellies as well as smoking lots of great things in his smoker. He said he can use the large branch. When I went to ask him if he could he had just made peach jam.
:love He sent me home with a quart.

When he came to take a look at the tree I sent him home with some veggies he had not planted. I will take him some brownies later too.

He was happy to see I have a bee waterer set up, full and clean since he keeps bees.

He is a neighbor I like having around.

Likely when he uses the peach wood he will bring us some pork too. Yup he's who I will follow around if there is a zombie apocalypse.
:gig

Pretty sure.......
Although being RJ's neighbor would be pretty dang AWESOME!!

For this mornings excitement we have a pair of juvenile hawks learning to hunt in the hood. My birds are secure, the bunnies took cover and the crows are around.
They seem to be focused on the yard that has ~20 young birds and no coop. There are at least 4 cockerels learning to crow over there too.
:lau They sound ridiculous.

During the night there was a short striped stinker in the hood too. :sick:sick:sick
It resulted in hubby jumping out of bed to turn the window fan around. It didn't go smoothly lol. He dropped the fan, woke the house, used some prime language and couldn't get back to sleep.
