It takes me 15 minutes to drive to the beach but according to Google earth I am one and a half miles from the ocean as the crow flies. My brother-in-law informed me of this last night. And yes we will use the generator on our big covered back porch not in the garage! Besides one of my crazy neighbors might steal it if I use it in the garage LOL
 
Lawl...Charter man just got some Sallie. He came out to check why my internet is garbage. I left him out there figured he'd be ok a couple mins later he knocks on the backdoor and he's holding my snuggle pest. She wouldn't leave him alone and he didn't want to step on her lol! He asked what kind she was and where I got her. His wifey wants hens but he said no since he had "mean" chickens as a kid. She changed his mind and now his wifey is getting suprise chickens. He ordered them here and made sure he got the right ones. My internet is not broken but it WAS full of red wasps at the connection box. And i'm talking a good 40 or 50, the box was just crammed with nest. They are dead now and iv'e got a new box.:)

Well folks another good mama piggie story... I was just on the deck and heard the most God awful baby cries. I went running to the pig area and what do I see and hear. Dead silence and bacon coming out of the house with that OMG look on her face and she plops down on her side and then 3 happy babies come running out and start nursing. Trust me, she's ready for these babies to be weaned. :gig

Well first night loose in the coop. They are still technically in the pen but the top is off, the door is open and they are all on the low roost above their pen. I will take the pen down tommorow and set it up so it is easier for the chunky ones to roost. Ethel and Dutch don't have any problems jumping up but gravity works against Rene and Sallie so I got to make a little step.:)

Mine still refuse to roost. All huddled together under the nest boxes. At least they aren't getting pooped on.

He is better and I finally got the car seat all put back together.

There's a BILLION things on right now that I'm overwhelmed with.

Mom.... well, legally she isn't my mom so now we have to do an adult adoption. I don't think she understands that with this adoption, *I* can have legal power over her. We've been spending the last 3 weeks talking her in to living here... and talking about building on to the house.

I think my spirit broke a little while ago when I received a copy of her will.... and I was listed as *a dear friend*. This is the woman I knew from birth as my mom.... but she couldn't adopt me cause she was gay.... and now that she can... well, why bother right?!?!


At the end of this, man....... I really REALLY love you all so very much..... just, right now, I am being a selfish asshole....
