Official Squatch Watchers

The technical name is american sweet gum tree.
They are big (50 ft) and quite showy in the fall. And they make millions of these dang “pokey balls” that take about 4 years for one to decompose.
They hurt like a booger when you step on them.
I’ve also rolled my ankle a few times on them under leaves.

Cant believe people are selling them on eBay for crafts.

Just shows you, there’s a buyer for almost everything!
Oh yes, like those trees! We had lots in TN. The leaves remind me of maples.
 
So after a great day at the swap yesterday i slept until afternoon. Still so very tired. That was a lot of exercise!
I did finish putting wire on door #2 to the chicken coop. And a latch so the door will stay shut.
Best news of the day, i got the Tolbunt flock moved into their new home! :wee
