I spoke with the guys of the pump truck, if they come back, they will come from the other direction, which will still allow them to do the job, but won't block the 3 driveways that are across from and next to the construction site. I will be letting the property owner, or the people he has coming over regularly to monitor progress, know that the 3 of us need a day's notice if we won't be able to come and go unimpeded, and that large vehicles need to utilize the road where the are no driveways. The are 2 ways to get to the property, and one way is completely void of driveways, and doesn't block anyone from coming and going. So it's not like there are no options except when laying down the utility access. I would have thought that the property owner would be very careful about stuff that might tater off the neighbors, especially since they plan on living in the house being built. Considering how much money is involved in their mansion on a postage stamp piece of land, I would say not making the neighbors' lives difficult would be in their top 5 of the to do list. They do seem decent, but it's the people they hire that are being inconsiderate. Unfortunately, even if they tell the contractors to be courteous, it still ends up being them having to deal with it. I kinda feel bad, but not enough to give any leeway. They are ultimately responsible for what their contractors do. If the contractors aren't listening, then property owners will be informed. I'm not putting my life on hold just because someone is building a house next door. I expect top be able to go about my normal business without having to constantly ask for someone to move so I can pull out of my driveway. Maybe I'm weird, but I expect my neighbors to be able to have the same liberty to come and go as they please.

OK, so it's great news! I don't have throat cancer AND I didn't have to get scoped. I begged the medical assistant for about ten minutes to convince the doctor not to scope me, due to my severe puke phobia. It was not sounding promising because he was insisting that the doc was gonna have to scope me, and I'm sure I sounded like a neurotic freak. For real though, I almost had a panic attack while I was trying to convince him. I mean I almost started crying. I'm sure they had a good laugh over it when I left.

Anyway, instead of scoping me he put on a headlight and shoved a long dentist mirror down my throat and had me make all these noises. And that was good enough--along with palpating it--for a diagnosis. And it turns out I have some weird-ass condition called (I sh*t you not) "Clicking Throat Syndrome." It's like an overgrown hyoid bone, and means absolutely nothing. Except my throat clicks when I swallow. :wee

I went and swallowed a couple beers and a pizza with DH after finding that out!!! I am SO RELIEVED!!!!!! No cancer, no puking, no gagging, and no scope.

Whew!!
:celebrate:hugs:ya

Notify them! I had that problem once when I lived in the city I hooked a chain to the car and pulled it down the street and left it right in the middle of the road. Arlington police came out and that problem ended
LOL I did that one time I came home after working 2nd shift and found a car parked in my side drive... in front of the no parking sign on the old garage. I drug it into the ditch. As I was unhooking it some kids came running up from the woods, They said their parents would kill them... I said you shouldn't have parked where it says no parking and shouldn't be on my property... I left them in the ditch and drove to the house. Before I could get in the house to call the police, pre cell phone, they had pushed it out of the ditch and left. :lau:gig

The property owners really should communicate to the contractors that they are aware that the neighbors are being blocked in.
Totally unprofessional to block other peoples driveways.

If I could tow them, I would, but it's not little vehicles that we're taking about, it's construction equipment. Oh well, I have the sheriff's non emergency line programmed in on my phone. We've had problems in our neighborhood in the past, including gunfire, but there were no new bullet holes and no shell casings at the property where it happened. Interestingly, we were on good terms with the drug dealers as well as the cops. We kept the cops informed, and returned the drug dealer's dog on several occasions. Fortunately, the drug dealers were forced to leave, and it's been a lot quieter. There's only been one break in on our street, and it was the only house without at least one dog.
