Official Squatch Watchers

I can't belive i'm worried about a hen that is basically the devil come to lay eggs on earth. But i'm actually worried! It is just a bumble that has done the worst part on its own. Sometimes I doubt my sanity.:)
At least you’ve already got a video showing you how to wrap it!:gig
Also hey totally serious. Get yourself a vanity wastebasket for foot soaking. (The chickens, not you) it is literally the perfect “vessel” for the task.

@pitbullmomma random weird question.---
Why would a dog eat dirt? My gf has 2 ACD and she noticed both are eating dirt. Enough that their poop "is like little sand castles."
She's wondering about possible worms. So is there an OTC general wormer for dogs?
Thanks!
Sounds like they are trying to get Minerals that they are lacking

Tell her to leash them til she gets it figured out.
Enough Sand can cause a bowel impaction.
Sam’s right. Could be a mineral, could be something else that’s not nutrition.
And yes there are lots of otc dewormers.

Omg! I'm dying over here! The video, i'll have to bring the cat in to properly make a Hobo burrito but only after I soak her feet in a teeny tiny trashcan. That picture is priceless, it looks like it works really good but lol!:gig

Minerals was my thought too. But why? That’s when she said worms. Could worms be sucking that much out of them....

I doubt she could leash them. It’s her, her husband and four kids. The back yard is fenced in so the dogs come and go when the door is opened.
It is sandy soil not straight sand. They are heelers so stomachs like iron. (Heads too)
Any recommendations on otc wormer?

I think they eat dirt for the minerals.

Hey Nunny,

Some of them just do. For no reason. My pitbull Bucco loves to eat dirt. I watch him nowwhen he goes outside. Yes, they can get obstruction if they eat too much! It's called pica.

You can buy a basket muzzle (like Hannibal Lechter) and put it on, but then you would still have to watch the dog to make sure she doesn't get stuck in anything.

When I was a vet, dewormers were all Rx. But now I guess some are OTC. Here is a nice list for you:

It's my birthday today (I am officially OLD now!) and I'm going on a guided all-day canoe trip (through Parks and Rec, it's a cheapie, lol) with the hubs, and then going out to dinner later, so I'll be scarce.

Love yas! :love

Cappy, heal up, and stay the freak outta the chicken house!

XO,

C
